I sculpt with light and form, creating luminous works that merge the ethereal with the tactile. My practice began when I repurposed a glass chandelier piece, captivated by how light shifted as it passed through the glass. That single moment opened an ongoing exploration into the interplay of light and shadow, and how dimensional patterns can transform what we see.

At the core of my work is a curiosity about materials and the stories they carry. I’m interested in shifting the narrative or label of a material, taking what is often seen as heavy, rigid, or utilitarian, and revealing a softer, more unexpected side. My most recent project reimagined chandelier fragments; this one turns to chainmail. Could this historic armor instead reflect delicacy, lightness, and fluidity?

I am inspired by artists and designers who expand how we experience space, light, and material. James Turrell’s explorations of perception and Olafur Eliasson’s ability to transform environments resonate with me and I am constantly looking to their guiding words. I’m equally inspired by the organic architecture of Hector Guimard and Antoni Gaudí, whose work blurs the line between structure and ornament, rigidity and fluidity.

I’m drawn to the process of making, to uncovering how materials come together and transform. Each piece invites viewers to pause, look closer, and reconsider their first impression. Working with cement, metal, and paper, I let the materials lead before refining their surfaces to capture and shape light with intention. Based in Los Angeles, I craft each piece by hand, from start to finish.
